Massachusetts dam threatens to flood town

I thought water was usually responsible for flooding, not dam materials.

The rather Dickensonian first line of the lead story in the Pawtucket paper (print edition!):

Whoever shot Marcos Cruz made sure he was dead.

I'm not quite sure why I find that so funny...
